Agricultural Security Area Advisory Committee:

The Agricultural Security Area Advisory Committee considers applications for open space donations and conservation easements. Members serve at pleasure of the Board of Supervisor Chairman. Members include 1 Board of Supervisor member, 1 resident and three farmers. Appointment terms are indeterminate

Cable Advisory Board:

The Cable TV Committee reviews with the Cable Company residents service complaints, recommend Cable Ordinance, Franchises and Franchise Renewals. They are a member of the Central Bucks Cable Television Consortium and meet with other Municipalities with similar concerns.

Historic Advisory Commission

Mission Statement:

Promote the appreciation and protection of historic resources throughout Upper Makefield Township and advise the Board of Supervisors with respect to the identification, documentation and preservation of historic sites, buildings and documents of historical significance to the Township, for the benefit of current and future residents of Upper Makefield Township.

Goals and Objectives

• Progress the Historic Resource Inventory and documentation process throughout the Township.
• Prepare a draft Historic Overlay Ordinance for review and potential adoption by the Board of Supervisors.
• Propose and obtain Historic Markers for the Township's recognized Historic Villages.
• Propose additional properties for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places, as appropriate.

• Members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a five (5) year term, with not more than one term expiring annually. The current Board Liaison is Daniel Worden and the current members are listed below.

Historic Architectural Review Board (HARB):

The HARB gives counsel to the Board of Supervisors regarding the application for a building permit for exterior work that will be visible from a public street to be done in a Historic area.

Meetings are determined as needed. Please contact the Township Administration Building to see when the next scheduled meeting is.

The Park & Rec. Board advises the Board of Supervisors on matters of recreation policy and the development and maintenance of parks and open spaces in the Township.

Planning Commission:

The Planning Commission performs three primary functions for the Township. Firstly, the Commission works closely with the Board of Supervisors, planning consultant, and Bucks County Planning Commission to consider currently development plans and the ordinances which govern these developments. Secondly, it is responsible for preparing a comprehensive plan for the development of the Township as set forth in the State Planning Code. Finally, the Commission maintains records of all its actions.
