Code Enforcement

The Upper Makefield Township Code Enforcement Department was established over thirty years ago. Upper Makefield's beautiful landscape, historic properties, and rural setting have lured many families to make Upper Makefield their home.

Maintaining compliance with the codes pertaining to building, subdivision, land development, zoning, land use, and environmental standards helps insure the health, safety, quality of life and fitness of our properties and community.

The Code Department also contributes in the administration of general business of the Township and maintains data resources available to the public.

Please remember when considering a home addition or any changes to a property, we request that you give us a call to inquire if any permits would be necessary. The Code Department also publishes a Development News pamphlet available to be picked up or faxed which lists current development activities. If you have any questions about permits, building safety issues, or zoning, please feel free to contact Wendy in the Code Office 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday.
