Signs

The Township is only responsible for maintaining speed limit signs of 35mph and under on Penndot roads.

Special request signs

Examples of these would be: school bus stop ahead; watch children; hidden driveway.

Procedure to request a sign

Write a letter to the Township stating what sign you require, where it is to be erected and the reason for the sign. Include a site plan. (This does not have to be a detailed drawing by a professional).

If the sign is to be erected on a State road, then the request is passed onto PennDOT for review. If PennDOT approves the request, then the Township will erect the sign in accordance with the guidelines as laid down by PennDOT.

Township maintains all street name signs except Homeowner Association custom made street name signs.
